Dawna's Weekly Dispatch

Top posts from this week.

Personal resilience can be an organic or intentional conscious process. Either way, it involves having difficult conversations with others or with yourself on what matters, on what fears drive your outlook on life, and on what one small step to take next. This week's podcast episode features Amanda Bauer-Frisch from Wisconsin, whose husband died suddenly at 32. She openly, vulnerably, and courageously shares the process she went through to process her emotions and move from a secure job to a purpose-driven role as an entrepreneur.

From Fear to Compassion

I changed the title because many people are afraid of fear. My speaking coach calls it fear of fear. Hmm... the relationship with our emotions drives what happens next. [note: this article was published for paying supporters on Substack but I wanted to share it with you! my email subscribers.]

My sincere thanks to Inaki, Patricia, and David for filling out the reader survey.

More than ever, we need resilient leaders who are not afraid to step beyond their comfort zone to work with difficult issues. Being willing to play on the edge is the best way to achieve self-fulfillment and live life with no regrets. Engaging is the first step toward regaining control over how the world evolves and knowing how to stay well emotionally is central to perseverance.

All for this week! Wishing you an excellent week ahead! Snow is on the mountain again so I'm going skiing!

Warmest wishes! Dawna

Working intentionally with your emotional health to fuel resilience, make life-affirming decisions

The world is changing fast both on the surface and in deeper unseen ways. While there are many reasons to act out of fear there are more reasons to unify efforts toward a radical sense of purpose. It means moving through fear, judgment of others, and uncertainty to restore a genuine connection to yourself and with others. Knowing your place in the world, and having the inner strength to withstand the pressure of conforming to societal expectations. Stay true to yourself, while working with others. Podcasts, products, and programs focus on expanding consciousness to restore a compassionate connection between collective well-being, decision-making impact, emotional health, and the health of workplaces, and actions aimed at respecting and regenerating the vitality of life on this planet. Everything is interrelated and interconnected.

Dawna's Dispatch - May 2024 "If you aren't humble, whatever empathy you claim is false and probably results from some arrogance or the desire to control. But true empathy is rooted in humility and the understanding that there are many people with as much to contribute in life as you." Anand Mahindra When I wrote Decision Making for Dummies I included a section on empathy. It is one gateway to intuition requiring mastery level awareness to avoid projection and ingrained bias. You have to get...

Dawna's Dispatch Top posts of April, 2024 It has been a fast-moving month that started with a road trip to pick up family art and see close friends and relatives, then back to Vancouver. Last week the company Krisos won the Tony Hsieh award for buying and transforming companies from hierarchies into self-managed (boss-free) companies. A signal of progress and a collective win for anyone who has been working to evolve decision-making consciousness and adaptive capacity. Earth Day was on Monday...

Dawna's Dispatch Top posts In this issue: the most recent podcast episode with Rod Collins entitled: Nobody is Smarter Than Everybody. But first, a short update. Thanks to everyone who attended one of the four Emotional Health webinar I ran four times in February. Emotional health, or lack thereof, is behind every poor decision, power grab (think wars), and insecurities that cause so much relationship strife. At the root of the matter is security. In this episode with Rod Collins, former COO...
